Students at the Primary level at Logan participate in Matrix classes with their core class. The current offerings which consist of year-long classes are: art, foreign language, performing arts and developmental physical education. Throughout the week, Primary classes will move with their core class to the scheduled Matrix class.
Each quarter, Intermediate and Advanced Students (ages 11-14) select three Matrix classes enabling students to experience 12 different topics throughout the year. Recent classes have included:
With guidance from parents and core teachers, Intermediate and Advanced School students select their top three choices for each Matrix class period. Course descriptions are shared with families each quarter, offering a clear picture of the topics covered and what students can expect to explore and contribute.
Logan’s World Language Lab offers Stride Learning Solution's online courses in Chinese, Spanish, and American Sign Language (ASL). Students learn to speak, write, and read a new language in an immersive, interactive, online environment.
Enrollment is for Advanced School Students (Grades 6-8) and requires a year-long commitment.
While the programs are self-paced, Logan’s Language Teacher is available during World Language Lab meetings to help support students.
The multi-language program provides rich possibilities for diving into the culture of each language.
Logan’s Spanish program for Intermediate School focuses on readiness for future language learning, basic Spanish vocabulary, and the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world. Students explore culture through geography, literature, art, music, sport, and traditions.
