Jeff and Ann's class explored what it means to channel their energy toward meaningful community impact during a morning of hands-on service at WeeCycle, a local nonprofit that helps connect Colorado families with essential baby gear and supplies.
Students spent the morning sorting and organizing donations—everything from baby cloths to toys and books—learning how their efforts support caregivers working hard to meet their children’s basic needs. The experience offered a powerful reminder that energy isn’t just something we study—it’s something we use to care for others and the world around us.
WeeCycle’s work supports both people and the planet by ensuring quality baby items are reused and responsibly redistributed. Volunteering gave students a deeper understanding of the role they can play in offering support, even in small ways.
One student reflected, “I think it was a good and meaningful experience. We got to do some good, not just for ourselves, but for others.”
