Add Your Voice to the Future of The Logan School

September 12th, 2024

Dear Logan Families,

We are following up to share more information about our long-range strategic planning process.  Through this year-long endeavor, we will partner with consultants from Leadership+Design and stakeholders across our community. This process will be robust and all-encompassing, with many touchpoints and opportunities for participation throughout the school year.

We are eagerly seeking community input in this process, and there will be many opportunities to offer your ideas and lend your voice to the future direction of our school. Here are some ways that we will be inviting input throughout the year:

  • Interviews: Our consultants and Strategic Planning Team members will conduct interviews with a random selection of community (parents and staff) members.
  • Think Tanks: We will offer two opportunities for all parents and families, as well as staff, to meet with our consultants, Greg Bamford and Tara Curry-Jahn, to share their hopes for the school's future at “Think Tank” events.

At our Family Think Tank, our consultant will share the process we are undertaking in our planning efforts and engage you in some interactive exercises to share your reflections on the value of a Logan education and your ideas for where we might go as a school community.

Please come and join the conversation, connect with other parents, and help us think big about our future together. The meetings will be on Thursday, November 7, from 8:45-10:15 a.m. and again from 6:00-7:30 p.m. These are open invitations, and we hope you take advantage of this time to have your voice heard. We will have EC available for the evening session.

We will also hold a Staff Think Tank session on November 7, open to all staff members.

  • Community Design Day: Our Community Design Day is an opportunity for all community members to receive an update on our strategic work to date and work collaboratively to brainstorm the future direction of our school. This engaging, hands-on design experience will involve working alongside and in teams with other community members. We strongly encourage everyone who can to attend. Please save the date for this important event on Sunday, March 2, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  We will have EC available for the session.

We will create a designated webpage on the Logan website where you can stay updated on our progress, review opportunities to participate, and learn more. Lastly, if you have questions, please feel free to reach out to strategicplanning@theloganschool.org.

This is a pivotal moment in Logan's history, and our final plan will inspire and guide our path forward. We are excited for our community to engage in this process as we dream big and think boldly about the future of the school and community that we all love.
