In light of our current stay-at-home situation, we plan to offer Auction 2.0 as an online, inclusive, community-building opportunity and we’d love to have you join us.
When and where is the auction? LASA 2020 isn’t being held on any one planet in particular, but rather, virtually via ZOOM. The blast-off time and date remain the same, launch at 7 pm on April 17 but this cosmic celebration won’t end until 10 pm on April 18.
What will we bid on? You will be able to bid on silent auction items and donate using AES, the same platform you have used in previous years.
What’s new? The format! We will be socializing online and also offering ways for you to show appreciation to our teachers on the front line.
What do I wear? Put on your finest galactic gear and come ready to co-mingle with galactic beings (ones that exist outside your home!) Or wear your pjs!
Can I still support Logan? Yes! Donations of all interplanetary currencies (except bitcoin) are welcomed and greatly appreciated.
I already underwrote, what’s the 411? If you have committed to underwriting, thank you! Our team will be in contact.
What if I donated an item that might not work anymore? If you have donated an item that requires clarification or alteration, you will be hearing from our team to confirm the details.
Do I need to buy tickets? No, but if you’ve already purchased tickets, we’d love for you to consider donating the cost of them to support the event.
Is it too late to donate? No! We are looking for more “virtual” experiences for our auction. If you or your student is interested in donating a virtual half-hour of a puppet show or video of them telling jokes, or reading a chapter book, fill out this form today.
We hope that you stay healthy and keep in good spirits over the next few weeks. If you have any questions or would like to help join the virtual planning crew, email Heather or Sara.
