Dear Logan Community,
We are thrilled to share that after a very successful series of semi-finalist interviews last weekend, the Logan Head of School Search Committee was able to unanimously move from 9 candidates down to 3 finalists and all 3 finalists for the Head of School position have enthusiastically accepted the opportunity to visit Logan in January. These are three exceptional school professionals and we are very excited for them to meet our fantastic faculty, staff, students, parents and alumni in each of their visits next month–and for you to meet and provide feedback on each finalist. Your input and engagement is essential! Here’s what you need to know:
Finalist Visits and Process
The Search Committee will introduce each candidate to the community via email shortly before the start of their visit. You will receive the candidate’s name and bio along with a link to a survey for you to use to provide feedback on that candidate. We are staging the introductions this way to be fair and equitable to each candidate. We want you to be able to meet each person and provide feedback with just that one candidate in mind, just like our faculty evaluate each student at Logan on their own merits and not in comparison to others.
Opportunities for You to Engage with Finalists
Each candidate will spend two days on campus with us and will have a full schedule of meetings with administrators, faculty, staff and students during the school day–a true immersion into Logan. For each visit (dates below), we will also have two community meeting opportunities for parents, alumni, alumni parents, and current and former faculty/staff: one in the evening from 6-7 p.m., with free Extended Care available, and one in the morning after drop-off, from 8:35-9:35 a.m. We are offering these meetings in-person only and are providing two opportunities at different times of day and with childcare to be as inclusive as possible. There will not be a hybrid Zoom option nor recordings of these community meetings. Logan’s model is experiential and we want each candidate to have an in-person experience with our community.

We invite you to attend as many of the following events as you can. We understand that everyone is busy; ideally, we would like you to meet all three candidates, yet if you can only attend community meetings for one or two, that totally works. In short, we welcome your voice and participation wherever you are able to plug in during this process. Please note that these dates are slightly revised from our original schedule to accommodate the finalists’ schedules (and will be included in the Logan Link moving forward):

Your Feedback is Essential
Your feedback on each Head of School candidate that you meet is crucial to our process. We will provide the link to a survey for each finalist via email and via QR code at each event and ask that you submit feedback by 9 p.m. on the last day of each finalist’s visit.
