Direct of Special Programs
 
Position Overview
The Director of Special Programs oversees day to day operations of Matrix and Extended Care programs, including but not limited to supervision, support, scheduling, and professional development.

Status
The Director of Special Programs reports to the Head of School and is a salaried, exempt position. This position is a .9FTE and is eligible for full benefits. 

Essential Functions

  • Matrix

    • Develop and coordinate the Matrix schedule at all levels

    • Work with Matrix teachers to manage and develop course offerings

    • Support, supervise, and evaluate Matrix teachers

    • Oversee and manage Student Feedback Form process

    • Collaborate with deans to create a program that aligns with the mission and philosophy

  • Extended Care

    • Schedule morning and afternoon employees

    • Supervise student check-in/out protocols

    • Support, supervise and evaluate Extended Care staff

    • Supervise students

    • Follow state licensing requirements to make sure the school is in compliance (licensing, employee files, inspection, drills, etc.)

    • Organize and schedule Logan Extended Education Program (LEEP)

    • Submit time sheets for payroll and complete family billing information monthly

    • Shop for healthy after school snacks as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in an education-related field

  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail

  • Mac and/or Windows computer literate and the ability to use Google Drive

  • Experience supporting and supervising teachers

 

Compensation

This is a .9FTE position with full benefits including employer-paid health insurance, paid time off, TIAA-CREF retirement plan with matching contributions and an optional flexible benefits program. Contact the Business Office for a full benefits description and eligibility requirements. Salary range 40k-50k for a .9FTE.
