Extended Care

Extended Care (EC) at Logan is a drop-in childcare service available both before and after school for families that are working or otherwise would like childcare outside of school hours. EC at Logan is an environment that quickly becomes our own little community. We host about 35-40 students each day and provide them with games, toys, puzzles, magazines, books, arts and crafts, sports and individual adult attention. We also have a homework area for older students wishing to get a jump on their work.

Morning EC starts at 7 a.m. and goes until school begins at 8:20 a.m. Morning EC rates are $7/morning up until 8 a.m. After 8 a.m., there is no charge for morning EC.

Afternoon EC begins at dismissal and runs until 6 p.m., with billing starting at 3:30.p.m. We charge in 50-minute increments at a rate of $7/50 minutes. The segments are 3:30-4:20 p.m., 4:20-5:10 p.m. and 5:10-6:00 p.m. Any part of the segment will be counted as a full charge for the 50 minutes. If pick up occurs after 6:00 p.m., there is a $1/min charge that is expected to be paid in cash that day. We also provide an afternoon snack for children at 4:00 p.m.

There will be EC offered over SOME holiday breaks and days off throughout the school year. You can find EC availability dates on The Logan School Calendar.  We hope to see your child(ren) in EC this coming school year!
